The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Southwest Region Office in Madison is holding two public information meetings regarding the US 18/151 Freeway Conversion study for the section of US 18/151 between the US 18 exit to Dodgeville in Iowa County and Dairy Ridge Road/County Highway G in Dane County. One of the meetings will take place on Thursday, November 12th from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Springdale Town Hall, 2379 Town Hall Road, Mt. Horeb. The meetings will be held in an open house format with a brief presentation given at 6:00 p.m.
The Town of Springdale requests that residents submit to the Town Hall the names of people living alone, or alone during the day, who might need help during extreme heat or cold and other natural hazards. This is part of the Town of Springdale Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan. Names can be submitted by calling 608-437-6230.
The Town of Springdale is located in southwestern Dane County, Wisconsin, southwest of the City of Madison, between the City of Verona and the Village of Mount Horeb.
Residing on the eastern edge of southwestern Wisconsin's driftless (unglaciated) area, Springdale's topography is varied with rolling hills and attractive valleys hosting natural springs that feed some of the finest trout streams in the State. The thirty-six square mile area of Springdale lies within the Upper Sugar River Watershed. The mixture of open fields and woodlands provides a habitat for deer, turkey, pheasant, and other game. The abundant natural resources and magnificent scenic vistas create a wonderful area for people to live and pursue a variety of activities.
